Principal, Hanson Fine Building and Restoration
Chris is responsible for many of the firm’s larger preservation projects and is the resident sustainability specialist. He works with clients, architects, project managers, and trade contractors to ensure that every job is estimated and executed in accordance to its design and specifications. Established in 1987, Hanson Fine Building has worked on many of the area's significant landmarks including Andalusia, the country estate of Nicholas Biddle, Beth Sholom Synagogue in Elkins Park designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, several projects on Boat House Row (Vesper Boathouse, Undine Barge Club and Philadelphia Girls' Rowing Club), Historic Fort Mifflin, Bartram's Garden, The Athenaeum of Philadelphia and The Rosenbach Museum. Hanson has won numerous Philadelphia Preservation Alliance Achievement Awards for their work in and around Philadelphia. After earning his Bachelors in American Studies from Hobart and William Smith College, Chris obtained his Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Pennsylvania.
