As an APT-DVC board member I feel I could become more active in the preservation community through assisting with the facilitation of events and potential learning opportunities that the organization offers. Through this work, I hope to expand not only my knowledge of the field, but also to connect more meaningfully with other members of the organization and help to uphold the sense of community that the organization has generated over the course of many years.

As an architectural conservator for eight years, I have had hands-on work experience and contacts with many significant historical sites in the greater Philadelphia area and might be able to bring this experience to the table to share with preservationists that may have more limited experience with the intense but rewarding processes and intricacies of conservation work. In the past, I have also successfully suggested that the firm I work for sponsor preservation events such as the Young Friends of the Preservation Alliance’s annual “In with the Old” fundraiser, and I hope to continue this record of investment on a company level, not just individually.

I will strive to support and expand the chapter in any way possible so that the preservation community can continue to benefit from the many opportunities that the organization provides.
